**Hexagram Judgment**
Perseverance. The elder is auspicious. No fault.
**Line Statements**
First line: An army must set out with discipline. If discipline is lacking, misfortune.
Second line: In the midst of the army, good fortune, no fault. The king bestows three commands.
Third line: The army may carry corpses in the chariot. Misfortune.
Fourth line: The army retreats to the left. No fault.
Fifth line: There is game in the field. It is beneficial to seize and speak out. No fault. The eldest son leads the army; the younger son carries corpses in the chariot. Perseverance brings misfortune.
Top line: The great ruler issues commands: to establish states and inherit families. Petty men should not be employed.
