Qian 96: Zhuo Wenjun Elopes
Superior Fortune
Story
Zhuo Wenjun, a young widow, was courted by Sima Xiangru with a lute melody. She eloped with him that night. Later they sold wine together, and Sima Xiangru gained an official post through his rhapsody, eventually becoming a celebrated couple. This sign signifies breaking conventions for love and ultimately attaining happiness.
Oracle Poem
A lute melody stirred her heart, / She eloped at midnight, not caring for wealth or art. / Selling wine by the shop, though hard and low, / Her husband's "Rhapsody on the Imperial Park" made their fortunes grow.
Interpretation
Career: Break the routine, bravely transform, and open up a new situation. Relationships: For love, disregard worldly judgment, and you may gain true affection. Wealth: First bitter, then sweet; thrift is needed in early entrepreneurship.
