During a night patrol, General Li Guang of the Han dynasty mistook a boulder in the grass for a tiger. He shot an arrow that embedded itself deep into the stone. Upon closer inspection, realizing it was a rock, he tried again but could not penetrate it. This sign signifies that exceptional courage can achieve extraordinary feats, but one must discern reality from illusion.
Oracle Poem
The general at night mistook a stone for a tiger; An arrow pierced its heart, feathers deep inside. Had he known it was a rock then, His fame through ages would not so long abide.
Interpretation
Career: Requires a "burn the boats" courage, but avoid blind impulsiveness. Love: Misunderstanding sparks passion, but the heat fades once truth is known. Wealth: Adventure yields profit, but it cannot be repeated.
