Story
Wang Bo of the Tang dynasty, on his way to visit his father in Jiaozhi, passed by Mount Madang and encountered a divine wind. It carried his boat seven hundred li overnight to Nanchang, just in time for the feast at the Prince Teng Pavilion. There he improvised the "Preface to the Prince Teng Pavilion," astonishing all present. This sign signifies divine aid to talent and a stroke of fate.
Oracle Poem
A divine wind sped the boat home through the night; The pavilion's essay stirred the realm with might. Since his genius shook the empire far and wide, Why seek fame on Ba Bridge, where poets once did ride?
