Sign 78: Sun Bin Descends the Mountain
Inferior Fortune
Story
Sun Bin and Pang Juan studied under the same master Guiguzi. Pang was jealous of Sun's talent and framed him, having his feet amputated. Sun later feigned madness and escaped to Qi, finally defeating Pang with the strategy of besieging Wei to rescue Zhao. This sign warns of harm from fellow disciples and scheming by petty people.
Oracle Poem
Descending the mountain, they were fellow disciples; who knew midway disaster would arise? Even with extraordinary talent, self-preservation is hard; beware of hidden arrows around you.
Interpretation
Career: Beware of colleagues or partners backstabbing; don't trust others in key decisions. Love: Prone to jealousy and discord; communicate openly with partner. Wealth: Indicates financial loss; avoid guaranteeing loans for others.
