Sign 75: Wu Zixu Flees Through Zhao Pass at Night
Inferior Fortune
Story
Wu Zixu's father and brother were killed by King Ping of Chu. Fleeing to Wu, he reached Zhao Pass, where his portrait was posted for capture. In one night, his hair turned white from anxiety, so his appearance changed, allowing him to slip through. Later, he helped King Helü of Wu dominate and whipped King Ping's corpse for revenge. This sign signifies acute worry leading to illness, surviving amidst danger.
Oracle Poem
Overnight at Zhao Pass, his head turned white, sorrow facing river maples in autumn's fading light. By luck, a fishing boat hid the sword-wielding guest; at Wu's gate, playing the flute, he avenged his deepest unrest.
Interpretation
This sign indicates danger requiring quick wit. In career, immense pressure causes anxiety; find a way out. In love, excessive worry harms health; relax. In wealth, there is dangerous money, but with high risk. The poem's "overnight white hair" warns that worry can hurt.
