签54:马超追曹

Lowest Fortune

Story

Ma Chao, avenging his father, allied with Han Sui to attack Cao Cao. At the Battle of Tong Pass, Ma Chao nearly killed Cao Cao, forcing him to cut his beard and flee. But Cao Cao used a divide-and-conquer strategy, turning Ma Chao against Han Sui, leading to a great defeat. This sign foretells that though brave, one may fall for schemes and must guard against treacherous individuals.

Oracle Poem

Golden spears and iron horses, spirit like a rainbow, Chasing Cao's abandoned armor, swift as a swallow. But alas, internal strife undoes the feat, Leaving eternal regret on the eastern shore to meet.

Interpretation

This sign is very ominous; all matters are unfavorable. In career, being too sharp invites envy; one should restrain and keep a low profile. In love, gossip and disputes abound; guard against a third party's meddling. Finances suffer heavy losses; avoid impulsive investments. The poem's "eternal regret" warns against relying on force alone.
