Sign 9: Kongming Musters the Troops
Superior Fortune
Story
Zhuge Liang, styled Kongming, was a native of Yangdu, Langya. He lived in seclusion at Longzhong, comparing himself to Guan Zhong and Yue Yi. Liu Bei visited his thatched hut three times, and thus he left the mountain. Before the Battle of Red Cliffs, Zhou Yu planned to harm Kongming by ordering him to produce 100,000 arrows within ten days. Kongming calculated that there would be thick fog, so he borrowed arrows from Cao Cao's camp using straw boats, obtaining over 100,000. Later he mustered troops, captured Meng Huo seven times, and made six expeditions from Qishan. This sign indicates outstanding wisdom that turns misfortune into fortune.

Interpretation
This sign is greatly auspicious, like stars shining brightly. In career, current difficulties can be resolved through clever strategies; use your mind rather than brute force. In love, if there are misunderstandings, you can skillfully clear them up, but avoid calculating against your partner. Financially, you may gain unexpected wealth, but rely on wisdom rather than luck. This sign suggests: stay calm in adversity, use the resources around you, and you may turn enemies into friends.
