Sign 1: Zhongli Attains Tao
Supreme Fortune
Story
Zhongli Quan, a native of Xianyang in the Eastern Han Dynasty, styled himself Zhengyangzi. In his youth he practiced martial arts and rose to the rank of general. Later, he encountered Emperor Donghua who enlightened him; he abandoned his official post to enter the Way and retired to Mount Zhongnan. After undergoing nine trials, he finally comprehended the Great Tao and was honored as the foremost of the Eight Immortals. When he attained Tao, purple vapor came from the east and celestial music resounded—this testified his attainment of the Golden Immortal rank. This sign indicates that a practitioner should uphold righteous thoughts, endure tribulations without falling, and ultimately achieve perfection.

Interpretation
This sign is of utmost auspiciousness, like the sun at its zenith. In career, the virtues you have accumulated will now bear fruit; seize the opportunity but never become arrogant or complacent. In love, destined partners will finally wed; singles will encounter true love, and married couples will enjoy harmony. Wealth flows smoothly, both regular and windfall profits abound, but remember to acquire it rightly. This sign especially benefits those who cultivate the Way, but for ordinary people it also foretells success in all endeavors and that prayers will be answered.
